In his mid‑80s, Pesah Shachar discovered a new artistic language — intricate mandalas filled with color, precision, and meditative calm. What began as a quiet creative exploration soon became a vibrant world of patterns in motion, each one hand‑colored with patience, accuracy, and a deep sense of harmony. His mandalas reflect the qualities that have guided him throughout life: discipline, curiosity, and an enduring love of creation.
Pesah’s artistic journey is the latest chapter in a remarkable life. Born in 1933 in Braila, Romania, he grew up in a warm Jewish home shaped by Zionist values. At fourteen he immigrated to Israel, spending time in the Cyprus detention camps before joining Youth Aliyah in Kibbutz Beit Yehoshua and Mishmar HaSharon.
He later built a long and influential career in Israel’s communications field — first in the IDF, where he became a senior Air Force communications officer, and later in civilian industry, contributing to major technological developments including the early foundations of Partner’s cellular network.
Alongside his professional path, Pesah has always been a devoted family man and a lifelong creator. His mandalas bring all these threads together — a fusion of discipline and imagination, order and color, movement and serenity.

בשנות השמונים לחייו גילה פסח שחר שפה יצירתית חדשה — עולם של מנדלות מורכבות, צבעוניות ומדויקות, המשלבות רוגע, סבלנות והרמוניה. מה שהחל כחיפוש אישי הפך לעולם של דגמים בתנועה, שכל אחד מהם נצבע ביד בקפדנות ובאהבה. המנדלות שלו משקפות את התכונות שמלוות אותו כל חייו: משמעת, סקרנות ואהבת היצירה.
המסע האמנותי הזה הוא פרק מאוחר בחייו של אדם שחייו מלאים בעשייה. פסח נולד בשנת 1933 בעיר בראילה שברומניה, וגדל בבית יהודי חם ורווי ערכי ציונות. בגיל ארבע־עשרה עלה לארץ, לאחר תקופה במחנות המעצר בקפריסין, והמשיך את דרכו במסגרת עליית הנוער בקיבוצי בית יהושע ומשמר השרון.
בהמשך בנה קריירה ארוכה ומשפיעה בתחום הקשר והתקשורת — תחילה בצה"ל, שם הפך לאחד מקציני הקשר הבכירים בחיל האוויר, ולאחר מכן בתעשייה האזרחית, שם היה שותף לפיתוח מערכות תקשורת מתקדמות וליוזמות משמעותיות, ביניהן הנחת היסודות לרשת הסלולרית "פרטנר".
לצד כל אלה, פסח הוא איש משפחה מסור, פעיל ויוצר לאורך כל חייו. המנדלות שלו מאחדות את כל העולמות הללו — שילוב של דיוק ודמיון, סדר וצבע, תנועה ושקט.
