Aaanyways: Your Vitamix cleans itself in about a minute, with no reaching around the blades.
Rinse right after blending, before anything dries on.
Fill the container about halfway with warm water and add a drop or two of dish soap. Use just a drop, because too much will foam up too much.
Put the lid on and run it. If your machine has a cleaning program (the bubbles icon), press start. If it doesn’t, start on Variable 1, ramp up to 10, and run for 30–60 seconds.
Dump it out and give it one more rinse so no soap is left.
Hand dry the container. Air-drying leaves mineral spots that build up over time and make it cloudy.
Already cloudy? Fill it with warm water and 1 cup of white vinegar, let it soak a few hours, then run the cleaning cycle again.
