Description
Canada's unfair airline industry finally has some competition! Porter began flying in 2006 based at Toronto's downtown airport to a number of destinations in Eastern Canada and the US east coast. They solely operated the Dash 8-400 turboprop and has always offered a premium experience with leather seats, complimentary snacks and drinks serves in glassware, and a stress-free experience at the small Toronto Airport.
They were the first North American airline to operate the type (mainly due to US scope clause restrictions). In 2023, Porter began flying the E195-E2 between Canadian cities & to USA and their prices are often cheaper than rival Air Canada (monopoly protected by the government).
Premium Economy is sold as "PorterReserve" and it's perks include 6 extra inches of legroom, a meal & snacks, priority check-in, and expedited security.
