📖 I’m checking out the Poco X8 Pro Max and the big story here is clearly the massive 8,500 mAh battery packed into a phone that still looks surprisingly normal. At around €400, this feels like a proper budget gaming phone with a tuned Dimensity 9500S chip, LiquidCool 3D IceLoop cooling, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Inside the box you get a case, USB cable and the usual paperwork, although the charger depends on the market.
• 6.83-inch 12-bit AMOLED display with up to 3500 nits
• 100W fast charging and 27W reverse charging
• IP68/IP69K water and dust resistance
• HyperOS 3 with Gemini, Copilot and AI features
• Cameras are decent, but gaming and battery life are the main focus
The interesting part will be long gaming sessions and thermal management, especially compared to other Dimensity 9500 devices.
