📖 At IFA 2026, after the next@Acer presentation in Berlin, I sat down with Valerie Piau, EMEA Vice President at Acer Europe, in a year marked by two major anniversaries: Acer turns 50, while Packard Bell returns as it celebrates 100 years since its founding. We talked about how far laptop design can be pushed with devices like the 799-gram Swift Blade 14, but also about the very different approach of the Vero 16, which focuses on repairability and longer product life. We also discussed AI on PCs, rising component costs, Acer’s 1000 Hz Predator monitor and, most importantly, the return of Packard Bell with its “Tech it easy” philosophy and a new range of simpler, more colorful and accessible products.
