The outrageous story revolves around Laxmikant Kabadiya, aka LK (Anupam Kher), one of India's wealthiest, self-made construction magnates. His massive conglomerate is right on the verge of launching a massive ₹5000 crore ($1 billion) mega IPO, a deal that promises to turn his money-minded, dysfunctional family into billionaires. However, fate has a wicked twist in store. The night before the grand stock market opening, LK suddenly drops dead while in a compromising position with an ambitious young starlet, Kim (Rakhi Sawant).
Instead of mourning his sudden demise, the panicked family realizes that news of his death will cause the company's shares to crash immediately, leaving them bankrupt. On the advice of their eccentric family guru, Vidyut Baba (Om Puri), the family decides to pull off a bizarre stunt—hide LK's corpse and pretend he is perfectly alive for two days until the IPO successfully sells out. But keeping the death of a national icon secret is a monumentally chaotic task. As unexpected delays pop up, the family is forced to keep extending the secret timeline, leading them to fabricate fake deaths of distant relatives, arrange dummy funerals, and hilariously orchestrate public appearances for a stiff, dead LK!
