Neighbor Called the Cops During This Concrete Driveway Pour

Description

How does a routine concrete driveway replacement turn into one of the most unexpected jobs of the day? This La Mirada project follows Doug O’Dell and Daryn’s crew through demolition, preparation, concrete placement, finishing, and a jobsite situation that quickly becomes more complicated than expected.

The crew removes the existing driveway, saw-cuts damaged concrete, prepares the area, and pours roughly 10 yards of 3,000 PSI concrete using a 50/50 aggregate blend. Along the way, David discusses control-joint spacing, expansion material, old property-line construction, battery-powered cut-off saws, and practical considerations that come with working in tight residential spaces.

What starts as a straightforward driveway replacement develops into a tense neighbor dispute while the crew keeps the project moving toward a clean broom finish. Watch the full job to see how it unfolds.
