In this video, we visit Native Secrets, an Indigenous-led business owned by Bidjara/Kara Kara man Phil Thompson and Wailwan woman Cherie Thompson, on Wiradjuri Country. Alongside Uncle Peter Peckham, we explore how essential oils are sustainably extracted from native plants like white cypress pine, demonstrating both traditional and modern techniques used in their skincare products.
The video highlights the combination of Indigenous Knowledges and contemporary science, alongside a strong commitment to a circular economy that eradicates waste and cares for Country.
