You might think I’m lying now but just the other week David and I celebrated 20 years as a couple. Do congratulate us, I think congratulations are in order, don’t you think? But seriously, how is this possible? Our whole adult lives we’ve been a couple, we’ve become grownups together. Has it been easy? Mostly yes. Not always, we’ve had our ups and downs, and can get into truly annoying arguments, sure, but overall, the word I would use to best describe it, is easeful. I think of David whenever I hear that glorious billy holiday song: living for you, is easy living.
