Mother’s Day weekend felt like the perfect time to step into a new season — in life, at home, and in the garden.
Jack and I started Saturday with breakfast, stopped by a couple of plant nurseries, picked out flowers and garden plants, and then came home to spend the rest of the day working outside together. For us, this wasn’t just a garden day — it was our version of an almost empty nester date. Simple, intentional, and spent doing something we both love.
This year, we’re making the garden better and bigger than it has been the last couple of years. We’re adding raised beds, filling planters, tilling, planting vegetables, and slowly bringing our garden space back to life.
