I spent the last week with my family in Calgary for the Calgary Stampede and I came away genuinely impressed. It's welcoming, surrounded by incredible scenery, and just over an hour from the Rocky Mountains. Add in one of Canada's sunniest climates, no provincial sales tax, strong career opportunities, and housing that's still more attainable than many other major Canadian cities, and it's easy to understand why so many people are choosing to call Calgary home.
