If you’ve ever sewn scallops, you’ll know that turning them through neatly can sometimes be the trickiest part.
One of my favourite little tips is to skip clipping lots of tiny Vs into the seam allowance and reach for your pinking shears instead. By trimming around the scallops with pinking shears, you’ll reduce bulk and create those tiny notches at the same time, helping the scallops turn through beautifully smoothly.
It’s such a simple trick, but it can make a real difference to the finished result.
