How to Replace Subaru halogen daytime running lights

This is a quick description of how to replace the 65 W halogen daytime running lights in a 2015 Subaru Forester. Those same bulbs are designed to also serve as high beam headlights when fed with higher voltage. This model year had not yet made the transition to LED bulbs seen in more recent models. The dealers manual states that the headlight fixture and wiring is not designed for LED bulbs or a bulb consuming more than 65 watts of power.
