This is a case study showing how to diagnose and fix a 2015 Subaru Forester 2.0 XT turbo that developed a washboard, helicopter sound at 100 km/h. Both front control arms, stabilizer bar bushings and links were replaced after documenting the abnormality in the front left control arm.
The hardest part of this task is removing the stabilizer link fasteners, and in that process you are very likely to damage those links and nuts in the process. So, even if just replacing control arms, you want to have replacement links and nuts on hand to allow you to swap them out without delay.
