Yearly abstract video made in the span of a week. One of my favourite Eve songs, I didn't know if I'd ever animate to it cause I think the music video is already so perfect and covers so many beats I put into my own work. Not much to say on anything else, I've been hitting some extreme black out, blind drooling pain worthy lows of severe complex ptsd, fibromyalgia, autistic burnout, some other nebulous extreme internal force. You keep going. Art has taken a massive back seat to just getting by, finding a specialized long term therapist, dealing with hostile medical and disability services, but I had fun animating on this, I did far more than I meant to. I'm addicted to this rough sketch cell shading style, I think it suits me very well my art really thrives in being this unpolished and emotive. Thank you to everyone for staying around throughout the years, and for this continued indefinite hiatus.

do what you can, do what you need to do, look out for eachother, and know that this isn't new and that the US is built explicitly off colonial genocide, public execution and disappearings. It's a dying animal that's now lashing out at the white americans it was created to serve, placing eyes on something that black, native, hispanic, asian people; immigrants have been experiencing and organizing against since day 1. There's things you can do, one part is being intentional with how you speak about it, and becoming active in whatever way you can, within your ability to.

palette and lines are also inspired by the original animated music video for How to devour life. The video seems to have different translations based on whether the captions are default or the custom colourful ones, I just mixed up both based on the lines I liked best.
