Description

A conversation with Gihan Hyde, exploring sustainability, ESG, and the role of women in shaping ethical leadership, recorded at the Creative Women Forum Saudi Arabia 2025.

Gihan Hyde represents Safa Foundation, a Saudi charity focused on governance and sustainability education for young professionals, middle managers, and emerging leaders. Through structured workshops and ESG-focused programmes, the foundation aims to close knowledge gaps and prepare leaders who can responsibly influence organisations and communities.

During the interview, Gihan highlighted the essential role women play in sustainability and governance, explaining that diverse leadership leads to stronger social impact. She emphasised that women’s inclusion at board and organisational levels is not symbolic, but foundational to effective ESG reporting and long-term value creation.

She also shared that women make up over half of Safa Foundation’s workforce, reinforcing the organisation’s belief in empowerment through representation and voice. For Gihan, empowering women is inseparable from empowering society and protecting the planet.

Reflecting on the Creative Women Forum, she described it as a platform where knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and collaboration come together — enabling experienced leaders to support and inspire the next generation.
