♻️👕Gelli Arts® Trash or Treasure? – Knitted Collar Texture Plate
By @birgitkoopsen
As a printmaker, it’s always worth taking a second look at anything you’re about to toss—you never know which “trash” item is secretly a gel printing treasure.
Sometimes clothing gets so old, worn, or damaged that it feels like it’s only good for the textile bin. But before you throw it away, take a closer look. Pockets, zippers, hems, and knitted collars can all become incredible printmaking tools. In this video, I used a knitted collar cut from an old sweater and glued it onto chipboard to create a reusable texture plate.
I love combining these kinds of textures with (artificial) flowers to create interesting and unique prints!
