Shortly after my father passed away, I began experiencing lucid dream visitations with him. These dreams were incredibly vivid, allowing me to have full awareness while in an altered state, feeling more real than anything I had ever experienced before.
During one visit, Dad hugged me, saying, "I don't know what I'd do without you, Son." In that moment, I found myself overcome with emotion, waking up to discover tears streaming down my face.
This wasn't a typical dream.
The impact on my grief was profound, and to this day, the loss doesn't weigh as heavily. I walked away with a deep sense of knowing that Dad is okay.
Some might label it wishful thinking or a product of a grieving imagination. Regardless, every fiber of my being recognized that he was okay. Such an event changes anyone who has experienced it.
Though physically gone, I began to consider that his essence might have transitioned to a higher vibratory state upon passing. After all, at our fundamental level, we are nothing more than frequency.
The dream state, an altered state of consciousness, serves as an ideal playground for our departed loved ones to visit us. Most of us don't recall our dreams often until we practice dream journaling and slowly carry awareness from the dream state into wakefulness. Intention is everything.
I sought answers.
These profound experiences led me to a meditation practice to self-induce the out-of-body experience. To date, I've had several OBEs that have broadened my perspective on reality. While it may sound unconventional, you might be tempted to say, "Oh wow, Dustin's drinking the Kool-Aid!" Three years ago, I might have considered this version of me a bit crazy as well.
With age, I've grown to care less about others' opinions. We are all seeking answers, and none of us fully grasps what the universe truly is. New discoveries happen daily, often because someone was open-minded enough to explore a direction others refused. To be honest, I wasn't even looking in this particular direction; Dad found me and woke me up in a dream. That's quite an experience.
This kind of dialogue needs open discussion so that we can bridge the gap between science and spirituality. Unfortunately, many fear putting their reputations on the line, keeping their experiences to themselves.
I don't have a reputation to uphold or anything to gain or lose by sharing this with you.
I'm just someone who sees the world differently. As a child, I recall being ridiculed when I claimed there's no doubt aliens exist. Now, 30 years later, Congress is having hearings about recovered non-human 'biologics' from UFO crash sites...
Really?
We should have been having this discussion openly in the '50s. Yes, I'm frustrated. Many of us are.
