Description
The Deep Depression over the southwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal intensified into Cyclonic Storm ‘Murasu’ at 11:30 AM IST on November 1, 2026. The system is very likely to intensify further into a severe cyclonic storm over the westcentral Bay of Bengal on November 2. Moving west-northwestwards, it is expected to cross the South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Narasapur by the morning of November 3, with sustained wind speeds of 100–110 kmph and gusts reaching 120 kmph.
