For this pattern you will need Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (106) Snow White, (162) Black Coffee, (130) Old Lace, (404) English Tea, (254) Moon Rock and (173) Bluebell. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends. Thread and needle to stitch the kookaburra together. Blue, Brown and white thread to embroider on markings. A bead for the eye and a pair of scissors.
The finished size will be 15cm wide x 16cm high (6” wide x 6.25” high) for the larger kookaburra, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the kookaburra in Catona will be 10cm wide x 11cm high (4” wide x 4.25” high). The medium kookaburra will be 10.5cm wide x 11cm high (4” wide x 4.25” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small kookaburra will be 6cm wide x 7.5cm high (2.25” wide x 3” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
