A big green caterpillar climbs onto a small seed-grown Venus flytrap, but instead of being caught straight away, it starts chewing one of the young traps.
The video follows the caterpillar as it explores the tiny flytrap, enters an old half-open trap and gets partly caught when it snaps shut. It then manages to pull itself through the trap and escape out the other side, with the encounter shown from several close angles.
There is also a look at another caterpillar found on the flytraps, a closer scene where the green caterpillar chews on the sticky tentacles of a sundew, and a comparison with a hairy caterpillar that gets caught and cannot escape.
