By reversing the direction of the external Boya BY-MM1 microphone so it is pointing back towards the camera operator.
This video was just a test to try out the microphone in the reverse direction, and proved that the audio quality (narration) from the camera operator is much improved.
Unlike the more expensive electret shotgun microphones, the Boya does NOT use an internal battery (to operate a pre-amp}, and operates directly from the built-in power of the camcorder. [ Microphones with battery operated pre-amps have a better frequency response]
