Description
A green plant bug wanders into my carnivorous plant room and ends up on one of my Cape Sundews. The sundew quickly grabs it in the sticky Drosera tentacles, turning this tiny plant-feeding insect into the trapped one.
I film the encounter from a variety of angles in extreme macro, showing the amazing detail of the meadow plant bug and the fascinating structure of the Cape Sundew.
The video also includes several timelapses, ending with a 12-hour overnight sequence where another insect gets caught in the background as a second sundew leaf begins to roll.
This is a detailed look at a plant-feeding insect caught by a carnivorous plant, from close-up macro detail to the slower changes that happen across the sundew leaf.
