It's honestly surreal to think I uploaded my very first video back in 2011. I was just 18 years old, making classic BookTube videos under the name "bookmovieguy." There were book hauls, TBRs, wrap-ups, bookshelf tours, and whatever else I felt like talking about. Fast forward 15 years, and I'm now 33, the channel has become Library Macabre, and horror books have completely taken over my channel.
In this video, I scroll through the history of my channel, from those early uploads to the videos I make today. We revisit the original BookTube era, the rebrand to Library Macabre, and the evolution into horror book reviews, Goosebumps collection videos, Fear Street reading vlogs, vintage horror paperback collection tours, spooky book retrospectives, looks at my home library, and all the creepy bookish content that followed.
I also take a look at The Vault: the playlist of my old, unlisted videos. The cringe has been preserved forever. 😂 I also browse my Patreon and share some of the exclusive videos available there.
