The next major wildfire in King County could start with a single ember. Hotter, drier summers are transforming western Washington into a region at greater risk for destructive wildfires, and King County officials said flames don't have to reach people’s doorsteps to destroy their homes.
In response, a new Wildfire Ready Toolkit has been released to help people better protect their homes, businesses and properties.
