If you're a new rider, the road is full of warning signs you probably don't even see yet, and this video shows you what they mean. Chevron signs and sharp-turn signs are the road telling you exactly what's coming, but riders blow past them at 80 mph because they're so focused on operating the motorcycle that they never register the sign. That's inattentional blindness, and it happens to new riders constantly. I break down what the signs mean, why corners and intersections are the two situations that catch riders most, and how the PLAN method trains you to locate those hazardous situations early: position for safety, locate, assess, navigate. The single most important thing a new rider can do is not go fast, because speed eats up the attention you need to read the road.
