What is the most expensive Pokémon card? Well, as anybody who has ever had a collection might know, the holy grail would be the Pokémon Illustrator card, which were given to winners of a CoroCoro magazine competition from late 1997 to mid 1998 in which participants created their own pictures. The card itself features artwork created by Atusko Nishida, or the woman who created Pikachu. And even though the card can’t be used in competitive play, it still is unique as it has this paintbrush icon and double star rarity, but further only thirty-nine were awarded. However, PSA has only been able to authenticate and grade a little over half of them so their scarcity is a massive selling point, as such you can bet that the only PSA 10 in existence would fetch millions, and that’s exactly what Logan Paul paid out. He had traded his own PSA 9 illustrator card, throwing four million dollars on top of it which totaled $5,275,000… equivalent to twenty-nine gem mint first edition base set Charizards. And so I think it’s safe to say that if you’re looking to obtain every card… you probably ain’t catchin 'em all… better start the feets OnlyFans.
