🎀📜 WardGibs | Haunted Hotel 4: Charles Dexter Ward - Hidden Object Adventure
▶️ A stick is deemed sweet sauce, which is to say useless, and from there the episode becomes a marathon of the more punishing puzzle types. Dominoes that feel a little sus. Statuettes to be balanced at a temple of strange gods. A brute-force lock that, as predicted, resets the instant it is looked at wrong. The two of them work through all of it with the resigned good humor of people who know the reset is coming and press on anyway. miserable is a strong word. accurate, but strong.

Two voices co-commentating one game - Wardfire and Gibs, both YouTube HOPA creators, doing what they've been doing together for over a decade. Wardfire's the faster eye on cluttered screens. Gibs reads everything out loud whether it asks to be read or not.

Hidden Object Adventure | The fourth entry in Big Fish Games' long-running Haunted Hotel series, and the last one built by Specialbit Studio before Elephant Games took the series over. Released in 2012 and loosely adapted from H.P. Lovecraft's novella "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward," it follows a woman hunting for her missing twin, Charles, whose only trace is a necklace he never removed and a swampland address. The trail leads to an abandoned hotel, a centuries-old necromancer, and the Necronomicon. It is known for its live-action cutscenes, filmed with real actors and finished with digital effects.
