Viltrox AF 35mm f/1.8 EVO 10Bit 4K Video Test (Shot it on ZV-E1)
It’s here, Viltrox just added 2 new lenses for the EVO series. The 35mm f/1.8 II and 55mm f/1.8. I was a big fan on the previous 85mm f/2.0 EVO. It’s beautiful I like the quality of a Pro series but also the compactness from the Air series. The EVO sits in the middle.
The build quality of those lenses are great. They don’t feel cheap at all. And I really like the aperture ring. Makes it handy for photography.
During my test, they are super sharp even at f/1.8. I did not have to stop down the aperture for better result. The only thing is, you might get little bit of vignetting when shooting wide open at f/1.4. But for video, we get the 16:9 ratio. So it’s not noticeable at all. And for photos, it’s an easy fix too.
Over all, I think both lenses are spectacular. And hopefully we get more EVO lenses from Viltrox. I would like to see maybe a 16mm or 135mm compact tele. That would be awesome
