Sigma 17mm f/4 DG DN Contemporary 10Bit 4K Video Test (Shot it in Singapore)
This is the Sigma 17mm f/4 DG DN Contemporary lens video test. Yes, I know. For most of the people. This is probably the boring lens. As it wasn’t as wide as the 14mm. And also it wasn’t a fast lens like f/2.8. So what’s the benefit of this lens?? So if you have watched my Sigma 90mm lens video. You probably know I love light weight lenses. Especially when travelling. And the 17mm f/4 only weighs 220g. Pretty much nothing. Combining the 90mm and the 17mm. They are only 515g in total.
So what about the image quality? As usual from Sigma. The lens is super sharp. And the autofocus is pretty spot on. It felt like I was using the Sony native lens.
Overall I think this is such an underrated lens, yes the f/4 aperture isn’t that interesting. And I know most of the people would go for the faster aperture rather than the image quality first. But since I travel a lot. Light weight is the key for me.
