I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but right now in Bangkok, KFC is running this campaign for their popcorn chicken and I gotta tell you that it looks good. It’s rare that I see meat and think it looks appetizing, but maybe it’s because their highly processed, full of chemical stuff doesn’t actually look like meat:) Anyway, just because it looks good, doesn’t mean I’m going anywhere near a KFC … instead I’m creating my own vegan version and sharing with it with you.
These are basically breaded and fried tofu … but we freeze the tofu first to give it a unique texture. Great healthy snack for kids, adults of 420 fans anywhere. :)
Use This Goodness (For the popcorn chicken)
Firm tofu (2-3 packs)
Breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil
Use This Goodness (For the for the vegan buttermilk)
Any nut milk (we use soy because it’s easier to get in Thailand) (1 Cup)
Flour for frying chicken
