Police video documented Michael Broady’s encounter with law enforcement. It began with a conversation and ended with his limp body being taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
In their lawsuit against several officers in rural west Alabama, Broady’s family alleges that Broady’s drug-confused call to police for help in August 2021 resulted in a violent police encounter that took his life.
