Description
Does saying ‘Talaq’ three times in a single moment completely end a marriage?
In this discourse, Sayyidi Younus AlGohar explains his understanding of triple talaq, arguing that the three divorces refer to three separate occasions rather than simply repeating the word ‘Talaq’ three times at once.
Sayyidi discusses reconciliation after the first and second divorce, when a divorce becomes final, and why marriage should never be destroyed impulsively in moments of anger or family pressure.
Sayyidi also addresses the practice of halala, which he strongly rejects, and explains why marriage, divorce and reconciliation must not be turned into a religious or financial transaction.
