Description
Is knowing Arabic enough to truly understand the Qur'an?
In this discourse, Sayyidi Younus AlGohar explains why Qur'an comprehension goes beyond vocabulary and grammar, discussing linguistic complexity, Suryani roots, translation, and the role of spiritual knowledge in understanding its deeper meaning.
Sayyidi then examines the verse ‘Liyaghfir Laka’, challenging its commonly understood translation and presenting its esoteric meaning in relation to Rasool Allah ﷺ and Ashab e Suffa.
The discourse also explores the extraordinary love of Ashab e Suffa for Rasool Allah ﷺ, and why their desire was centred entirely upon seeing his blessed face.
Watch the full discourse to understand the distinction between knowing the Arabic language and truly understanding the Qur'an.
