Hardware wallet security made headlines this week — and the scammers didn't waste any time.
Ledger's security research team, Donjon, published a technical disclosure showing they used specialized laser equipment to find a flaw in TROPIC01, a chip used in Trezor's Safe 7. Trezor has responded saying your funds are safe, no action is required, and the exploit requires physical access plus advanced laboratory equipment. But while the legitimate security community was handling the disclosure responsibly — scammers were already spinning up fake "Trezor update" websites trying to steal seed phrases from panicking users.
