Bottom line: If you hold Bitcoin or Ethereum in a self-custody wallet and you don't share your seed phrase with anyone, the government cannot seize it. Full stop. What happened here was a Tether freeze on the Tron blockchain — not a Bitcoin seizure, not a wallet hack, and definitely not proof that crypto is dead.
Governments can pressure centralized companies. They can't reach into a decentralized blockchain.
