At some point, we have to take matters into our own hands.
Our government is trying to erase us from America’s memory, and we cannot let them succeed.
We need to make it a priority to speak to our older family members and find out who we are and how we got here. We need to record their stories. We need to play these recordings for the younger generation at an early age and over and over again. There is strength in who we are, and we’re gonna lose a lot of it if we can’t correctly tell our story.
We cannot let them take our heritage.
