Look, I'm not trying to sound like the "Get off my lawn" grandpa, but whatever. Most of my subscribers and friends are of a certain age. Do we really wanna hear young people's music? Method Man and Redman recently performed at Summer Jam in New York and ROCKED IT, as they normally do. I actually heard booing on the clips I've seen of the show. Afterward, Meth stated that the generation gap was too wide, and if invited back, he wouldn't be performing at the iconic show again.
I get it.
I think it's time for a bona fide sub-genre of Adult Contemporary Hip-Hop like it is in RnB. Do you all agree? While today's mainstream producers are consistently making slappers that I love, I'd rather listen to instrumentals of new music than hear another trash lil pill-popping, purse-wearing rapper mumble off-beat or another little hoodrat with minimal talent showing young women how to be hoes.
