Hope you enjoy my little tribute track to the Tower of God story and universe as a whole. As always I was mainly thinking about the webtoon when composing it but the reference I used for inspiration was as always the great ToG anime composer: Kevin Penkin. I really wanted to write something in the style of the ToG OST Ma for the longest time and so the beginning and the piano bit ( my favorite part) is my take on that sort of atmospheric and space like style.
My objective with this composition was to caputure 2 things.
First the mistery surrounding the tower, how infinetely big it is, how no one knows where it's located or how it looks... After 3 seasons and 89 chapters there are still so many questions without answer. The one thing
that is for sure is that the tower is absolutely huge and filled with misteries
so I wanted to capture that. That's the first part in the style of Ma. The piano part might be a bit inspired in the osts rak and church as well.
The second part is more a tribute to the adventurous side of the tower. About how people begin to climb it with everything they got without even understanding what they are getting themselves ino or who they are gonna encounter. All sorts of people and creatures meet, join groups, help each other, fight, become friends, fall in love and betray each other. All in a world were literally everything is possible governed by godlike beings, rules and administrators.
This part is more inspired in Kevin's orchestral work and a bit of my own style mixed in. Made in abyss was definetely a big inspiration for me as well. Last but not least no epic choirs this time, sorry.
