Here’s another Sawano inspired original composition that I wanted to share with you. I started the intro of this soundtrack a while ago as one of the possible directions for a client’s game. We ended up choosing a different idea and I left this one in the vault. I recently got to write the second part for it after watching solo leveling and hearing a track named “ To the Top “ which got me into the mood again. I suddenly started missing those Attack on Titan soundtracks that I used to listen to so much. Good times.
As for the official soundtrack as a whole, it's simply Sawano with his usual level of quality. This man is unbeatable in this genre. I personally love how much acoustic guitar you can hear throughout the show. Reminds me of the Battlekour OST from the Bubble movie.
As for the anime, this first season has been pretty promising. I might be mistaken but it feels like the adaptation is including original scenes that weren’t in the manga. Is it true? I read the manga a long time ago so can't remember. In any case, after this final episode 12 is where the good part of Solo Levelling really starts so I'm very curious to see how the studio will bring the long-awaited army to life.
