Made in Abyss season 2 is over and what a ride it was. This anime is fascinating at all levels. The world and the storytelling are always so unusual and unexpected. The characters that were introduced this season were also interesting AF (Belaf, Wazukyan, Faputa...). And the best of all: Majikaja
(this voice actor needs to be given a medal). So cute.
But on another note Kevin Penkin's soundtrack this season was fire as usual. It was a bit more synth based and distortion heavy than season 1 imo. If I were to highlight something there were some gritty distorted OSTs that played during the Reg vs Faputa fight (episode 11 I think) that were absolutely excellent. Both epic and super tense. And then there was a beautiful sad guitar OST that played multiple times during the flashback scenes that I'm addicted to. Can't wait to listen to the whole album when it comes out.
As for the video this is a tribute track to Faputa. The first half is my take on the Made in Abyss S2 soundtrack. And then there is an edm drop that simply felt natural to write (I'm aware made in abyss ost doesn't use edm lol)
