Top of the Pops: Nick Lowe - "Cruel to be Kind"

Yep Roc Records Short 1 months ago

Description

On this day in 1979, Nick Lowe released 'Labour of Lust,' a record that catapulted the English singer-songwriter onto the charts. "Cruel to Be Kind," as seen here performed on Top of the Pops, was a massive hit, making it to #12 on in America, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

After years out of print, Yep Roc brought the album back in 2011 with updated liner notes and both exclusive singles, "Endless Grey Ribbon" from the U.K. release "American Squirm" from the U.S. along with the bonus B-Side "Basing Street."
