Since I have a garden, I try not to disturb the toads, but I draw the line at destroying my plants. I reasoned that as long as I provided a better home (especially one a toad can dig deep in for winter) then it'd be okay to evict them from my planters. Turns out, toads don't really like being told what home they should live in!
Because it's been a dry spring, they like the planters. But I would hope they'd find a home in-ground rather than in a container that I'll have to empty when I move!
