My daughter was fascinated by ribbon wands so I decided to make her one, but ended up creating this instead. I wanted to use chiffon, but the chiffon color choices at Hobby Lobby did not excite her. She chose this fabric and though it was stiffer than chiffon I thought it should work.

I think it's organza because of how stiff it is and the price point. It can be hard to work with and in the video I include my tips.
If you buy two yards of this fabric, and cut the fabric lengthwise into 3 strips, you can get 3 fabric wands. I tapered the fabric and sewed it into a tunnel so it would resemble a windsock. It's a lot of fun to play with, especially if you know some basic whip cracks. My 1.5 year old nephew was mesmerized by it!
