My relatives asked me if they could gift my daughter with an Advent Calendar where they'd add personalized notes and the treats for her. So, I tried to show Aveline (age 4) a video on how Advent calendars worked and none of them helped as they were all 1-day unboxing/review videos. This is why I made this video to help any other mother trying to demonstrate how you open one item/box each day.
I liked the process so much (going over the date daily and getting more practice identifying numbers) that I made her a fabric pocket calendar inspired by the advent calendar. The only difference is she gets a candy only doing special holidays. Right now, it's getting her really excited about Martin Luther King Jr. Day!
