Almost every case follows the same pattern, a night out, a canal nearby, a missing person, and an explanation that doesn’t satisfy everyone. Greater Manchester Police have always maintained these were accidents. But the families of those who went missing, a number of journalists, and a growing number of unexplained questions wonder otherwise. What followed became known as the Manchester Pusher.
