Meet Kim Shapira, a celebrity dietitian based in Los Angeles. She is a functional nutritional therapist and the author of This Is What You’re Really Hungry For, the downloadable workbook The KSM Wellness Journal, and a masterclass. Kim developed the Kim Shapira Method and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Tulane University, along with a Master’s degree in Human Metabolism and Clinical Nutrition from Boston University. For the past three decades, she has guided clients in weight loss and maintenance through her private practice, Trimly Nutrition Coaching, which assists individuals following a medical weight loss treatment plan, as well as in hospitals, sports clinics, addiction centers, and universities. Kim has appeared as a moderator and guest expert for various outlets, including People magazine, Yahoo!, Just Jenny, Sky News, Vanity Fair, PopSugar, and several podcasts. She shares six simple rules to help individuals develop a healthier relationship with food, which ultimately enhances their confidence, health, and well-being. Kim emphasizes, "Health is the goal, but life's challenges can derail people from their journey,” and she helps individuals stay focused. Outside of her work assisting clients in restoring their relationship with food, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and three dogs.
