I’m building a custom L-shaped shoe rack using premium Tasmanian Oak veneered plywood with a solid Victorian Ash seat. This project was a great client commission and a fun build, but with timber prices skyrocketing—and Victorian Ash becoming harder to source after the 2023 logging ban—it definitely pushed the limits of my margins.
