Description
This is the best jewelry revival design of the year: Boucheron’s Untamed necklace.
Nearly 150 years after Frédéric Boucheron fi rst imagined the idea, the high-jewelry piece brings an unrealized 1879 sketch to life. Inspired by the house’s Question Mark necklace, the design transforms ivy into a composition of white gold, diamonds, and rock-crystal dew drops. Creating the piece required more than 2,600 hours of work, with each stem and leaf mounted by hand to create the effect of ivy growing naturally across the body. The result is a modern
interpretation of one of Boucheron’s earliest concepts, bridging the house’s history with contemporary high jewelry.
