So I finally caved in and bought this game, it's pretty good but i am kinda sloppy with controller. I was inspired to make this when Mihara said that secret grade is too easy nowadays.
This is quite the step up from the usual secret grade, as you have to build both sides simultaneously. This means you can't just set up for one side and then set up for the other, as you'll more than likely find yourself in a situation where the holes you left are staggered on different lines and you have to dismantle the whole thing. This makes building a lot in advance a lot harder, and so that's why sometimes i end up just clearing a lot of lines and not making much progress. The big squares in the middle are quite tricky too, the same way the turnaround is when you build the 10th and 11th row. They require extra careful setup as you're making a new floating base for blocks to rest on, and the second square hole is particularly nasty as you're running out of space and gravity is picking up.
Anyway I think a build like this could be a decent candidate for awarding a secret grade in TGM4 if Mihara really wants to make it more difficult. I just hope that he does not take me doing it as a sign that even this is too easy.
